Dana's Last Week

Where to begin…I know I haven't posted in a bit, but I can thank Lexington for that.  My life has picked up here and I think it's safe to say that it's starting to become home for me. I have started to make real friendships and experience fun and meaningful places that this city has to offer.  School has started to throw more work my way and my internship work load has increased as well.

I thankfully met some really great people through Whitney and Blair on the girl's trip that have made this transition a lot easier. The girls have really reached out to me and quite a few of them are my neighbors here in town.  One of them in particular, Dana, has been really fun to get to know.  When we met on the trip I found out that she actually worked for the firm I am interning at, Morgan, Brashear, Collins & Yeast.  We were both really excited to find out we'd be in the same workspace every day, but I was quickly saddened when Dana delivered the news that she was moving back to Cincinnati for a little while.  Rather than sulk over the news we decided to have a nice week in Lexington seeing some of the sights and hang out when we could.

Monday was of course Bachelor Monday-I can't go a Monday without the show. I go nuts when it's not on and they're filming for the next big season or spin off show.  I wish they would just make Chris Harrison the bachelor already, but I guess we'll have to settle for sexy farmer Chris for now!

Dana spent a lot of last week helping me transition into the office environment at the firm,  learning the lingo and other office information.  I'm quite thankful for her helpful tips and organization skills.
I have a killer office! Check out that wood paneling :)
We had quite a few staff meetings...
…and even an office birthday.
Happy Birthday Andrea!
The rest of the week consisted of many hang outs visiting local venues in Lexington.

It may have been a short lived week with a great new friend but I enjoyed seeing all the ordinary things Lexington had to offer with a new friend!
